Combat Critters privacy policy
Last updated: November 8, 2026
Combat Critters is published by Kana Suzuki. If you have a question about this policy or your data, write to support@playcombatcritters.com.
The short version
- You can play everything on your phone without an account. While you're signed out, nothing about you leaves your phone.
- Signing in (with your email) is only for online play: real Keepers as friends, messages, trades, online cards and PvP. Online play is for players 13 and up.
- We keep what online play needs, and what stops cheating. We don't sell it, and there are no ads or analytics trackers in the game.
- You can delete your account in the game at any time.
Playing on your phone
Your save (cards, progress, settings) lives on your phone. Android may back it up to your Google account, as your phone's backup settings allow; the game itself sends it nowhere. Backup files you make in Settings go where you choose to put them.
The game works out which country you're in from your phone's language and region setting, to switch off paid packs where the law doesn't allow them. That stays on your phone.
How old you need to be
Online play is for players 13 and up. Before you sign in the first time, the game asks the year you were born (and the month, if that decides it). It keeps only the answer (old enough or not), never your birthday. A player under 13 can play everything offline but can't sign in.
What we keep when you sign in
Your account - Your email address, to send you sign-in codes. Other players never see it. - Your sign-in session, kept on your phone, encrypted with a key that only works on that phone.
Your Keeper profile (what other players see) - Your Keeper name (from your Passport, through a word filter), a four-digit tag and a friend code. - Your Passport look: the Critter picture you chose as your photo (never a photo of you), your frame, cover, title, favourite element and three badges; your collector level, Tower best and Field Guide count; your stamps and your career tallies (battles won, lost, Critters caught). - When you joined, when you were last online, and when you last changed your name. - Whether your friends see your activity (you can turn it off).
Playing with others - Friend requests, friends, rivals and the players you block. - Messages: quick lines, stickers, and text typed to friends. Typed text goes through a word filter before anyone sees it; we keep what was typed before the filter so a report can be reviewed. - Gifts, the cards in your showcase, the stamps visitors leave on it, and your activity feed. - Reports you make about a player, and reports others make about you.
Online cards and Silver - Every online card the server makes for you: what it is, its print and condition, its wear, grade, stars and perks. - Each card's history: when it was made, traded, given, used up or sold, and to whom. This is how a card can be traced if something goes wrong. - The packs the server opened for you and your free-pack meter, and when you used Aoba TV to speed it up. - Your Silver balance online and every change to it (what it was for and how much). - Your trade offers.
PvP - Your matches: who played, each move and the dice the server rolled for it, the result, your Keeper Rating, and your place in the queue while you wait. A disputed match is replayed by our referee (it runs on GitHub's servers) to find out who broke the rules; strikes and bans come from that.
Keeping the game fair - Each time you go online, the game build you're on, whether you're on Android, iPhone or a computer, and whether your save was changed outside the game (we keep a note if it ever was). - On Android builds from Google Play, Google's Play Integrity check: Google tells us whether the game is our unmodified build from Google Play and whether the phone passes Google's own checks. We keep what Google said (whether the game and phone were recognised, the licence, the version and any Play Protect warning) for 90 days. Google's own privacy policy covers what Google collects for it. - A record of what you did and when (for example, sending a message), kept only as long as needed to stop a script from flooding other players.
What we don't collect
No real name, no address or location, no contacts, no photos or camera, no microphone, no advertising ID. There's no advertising and no analytics in the game. Purchases aren't on sale yet; when they are, Google Play (or Apple) takes the payment and we'll only receive a record of what was bought, never your card details. This policy will be updated before then.
How we use it
To run your account and online play, to show other players your Keeper profile, to keep online cards, Silver and PvP fair (spotting edited games, edited saves and cheating), and to review reports.
Who else handles it
- Supabase, which hosts our database and sign-in (in the United States, East US), and sends the sign-in emails.
- Google, for the Play Integrity check and Google Play.
- GitHub, which runs our PvP referee on disputed matches.
They handle it for us, to run the game. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else, except if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account, except where a shorter time is said above. When you delete your account, it goes as described below.
Deleting your account
In the game: Settings, then your online account, then Delete my account. Or write to support@playcombatcritters.com from the email you sign in with and we'll do it for you.
What goes, straight away: your sign-in (your email), your Keeper profile, friends, requests, rivals and blocks, messages, gifts, your showcase and its stamps, your trades (open ones are called off), your PvP matches, rating, strikes and place in the queue, your online Silver, your pack openings, your online passes and save notes, your Play Integrity records, your activity, the reports you made and the reports about you, and the records kept against flooding.
Your online cards are taken out of the game. Their histories stay, with your account taken out of them, so the cards other players own still show where they came from.
The save on your phone isn't touched: it carries on as an offline save. Cards that were online cards stay on your phone as offline cards (for solo play only).
Children
Combat Critters online play is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly keep data about them. If you think a child under 13 has an account, write to us and we'll delete it.
Keeping it safe
Everything between the game and our server goes over an encrypted connection. Each player can only reach their own data, and everything they change goes through checks on the server.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new date, and the game will say so if the change matters.
